| It wasnt every city that offered this and she was grateful that she was in one of them that day. She was in a park and no one came to bother her for an autograph or a picture. Maybe it was the fact that no one recognized her with her new hairstyle or maybe it was her outfit. She didnt care what it was but she was happy that she was invisible. Her black hair was attached in a pony tale and she had a baseball cap on. Her ponytail was coming out of the back hole of the cap. Her blue eyes were behind a pair of sunglasses and she had no make up on. Her face looked old and tired with no make up on. She didnt care what she looked like and what her security was thinking right now. She needed to be away, to be in a calm place where she could just sit and watch people walk by her without taking a second look at her. She has never done this. Sneak out of her hotel and hide away from her bodyguards and management. But today, she needed it. Too much had happened in her life and she needed a break from it. It was a beautiful sunny day and she couldnt stay any longer inside the building. She had the need to be outside and smell the fresh air. She got up from her bench and walked away. She followed the sidewalk that led her into the wood. She stopped momentarily and looked around her briefly before venturing into the woods. Soon, the citys noses were replaced by the wind blowing into the leaves, the squirrels running in the dead leaves on the ground and the birds singing their little hearts out. She walked for a good half an hour before she saw a bridge coming. She walked onto the bridge and went to the edge to look down into the water. She smiled as she watched the fishes swim in the water. She stood there thinking of nothing in particular until someone passed behind her, quickly pedaling away on his bicycle. She looked back into the water one last time before walking away. She took a deep breath, still having that smile on her face, as she savoured the smell of nature around her. She soon ended up at a house and saw a few picnic tables. She sat down in one and looked up into the sky and watched a few birds fly around. She didnt know why, but she still had that content smile on her face. She looked down as she heard a door open and the air filled with laughter. She looked to her left and saw a couple come out of the house laughing at something one of them may have said. She watched them walk to their bikes still laughing at something. The man leaned down and kissed the younger looking woman lovingly. She stopped laughing as she deepened the kiss and bought her arms around the mans neck. After a few moments, they pulled away and he whispered something before he pecked her lips quickly and walked to his bike. The lady shook her head before getting on her bike and pedalled after the man. She watched the couple until they were gone behind the bank of trees as she wished she would one day find the man of her dreams. She took off her glasses as a family of two kids walked from another direction. The two boys ran ahead as their parents walked slowly holding hands. She watched as the mother asked the two youngsters to stay close to them while her husband kissed the top of her head. She heard a splash and she turned her head to see that the two kids have found a little lake. She watched as the couple walked to the kids and she saw a few ducks swimming on the lake. She saw the man standing behind his wife as he wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his chin on top of her head as she places her arms around his. The two kids stood on either side of their parents, watching silently the ducks in amazement. She knew right from the beginning that itd be hard to be famous. She knew that a lot of guys would throw themselves at her feet because of her money. She new that a lot of people would come into her life saying that they were her friend and would only be there to have a little press and leave her as soon as someone offered them a job. She also knew that there wouldnt be time for a relationship, but she didnt care. It was true that she was lonely in this business. Yet, she wouldnt trade it for anything. She did something she loved and she didnt care if she didnt have any privacy. All she cared was the fact that she touched lives with her music and the lyrics she wrote. She also knew that someday, shell meet her price charming and hed sweep her off of her feet. Someone whod held her at night while she slept. Someone whod held her hand as they walk. Someone whos kiss her for no reasons. She knew that this person was out there and that when the time came, hed walk in her life. All she had to do was sit back and wait. |
