| That night, the girls stayed in Mary and Tinas room and talked all night long. They helped Mary pack, because the modeling agency wanted her to join them as soon as she read the letter. Before Mary left, they made a pack to stay friends no matter what their life brings and that theyll stay in touch with each other. Mary walked out and saw a limo waiting for her. She walked to the driver who took her things and placed them in the trunk while she sat in the car. The driver closed the door and went around the limo and sat in also. An hour later, they arrived at the airport and the driver helped her to the check in gate. He gave her an envelope and left with that. She opened the enveloped and found an airplane ticket to Los Angeles. She gave the ticket to the lady. Mary looked in the enveloped and found a set of keys. She didnt have time to think about it because the lady behind the counter was done and gave her the information she needed to know about the direction of her gate. After thanking the lady, Mary followed her directions and arrived at the gate. She sat down on a seat and looked at her ticket. She jumped out of her seat when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see a flight attendant smiling at her. Are you Mary Thomas Johansson, winner of the Von Dutch modeling contest? the woman asked. Yeah, but I didnt know it was a contest, Mary replied. Oh its alright! Could you please follow me? The aircraft is ready to leave, the lady replied. Mary grabbed her few things she had and followed the woman. They walked through a set of doors and went down the steps to end up outside. Mary looked around, seeing the workers do their job around the big aircrafts. She was mesmerized by the view. The flight attendant looked behind her and smiled when she saw how amazed Mary was. She walked back and smiled at Mary who acted as a little five-years old in a candy store. The woman took Marys hand gently and led her to a car. After the short ride on the car, they got out of it and Mary gasped when she was standing in front of a privet jet aircraft. She looked back at the lady asking her with her eyes if she was seeing properly. Go on, Ill be there in a minute, the lady replied as she waited for the luggage people to come. Mary nodded and walked slowly up the steps and went into the aircraft. She looked around herself not believing it. She slowly walked in and sat down on one of the leather seats by the window still looking around. She slightly jumped when the flight attendant closed the door of the aircraft. The woman came to her and kneeled down to tell her where they were going and how long the flight will take. Five minutes later, they had the authorization from the control tower for take off. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Mary walked out of the aircraft to be told to get in the black limousine that was parked a few feet from her. She thanked the flight attendant and went into the car. The limo driver closed the door behind her as the airport people placed her luggages into the trunk of the car. The driver sat behind the wheel and a few moments later, they drove off. Mary listened to her Linkin Park CD while looking out of the window as the Los Angeles scenery passed in front of her. Twenty minutes later, they turned into a gated driveway. The garden took her breath away. If she had to choose between this garden and the one her school had, shed definitely choose this one. It was amazing. She couldnt describe the view. She was still looking when the door opened. She looked up at the driver not knowing what to do. She took off her ear set and waited for the man to tell her what to do next. The man smiled at her and extended his hand. She placed her hand in his and got out of the car with her handbag. Her jaw dropped when she saw the building in front of the car. It was huge and beautiful. She had no idea where she was, but it was heaven in her eyes. The butler came out of the house with two other men. The two men took care of her luggages while the butler asked her to follow him in the mansion. They walked in and she gasped. There was a beautiful staircase in front of her with a beautiful huge chandelier coming down from the ceiling. There was a red carpet going up the stairs with a deep brown railing. The butler cleared his throat and Mary was snapped out of her thoughts. She followed him into the living room and was told to sit down. She did so and a servant girl came and asked her what she wanted to drink. While Mary waited, she drank her orange juice looking around the room. It was well decorated and the paintings on the wall were gorgeous. She still had no idea who she was waiting for and why she was here in the first place, but she liked it. Really liked the idea that she might stay here. |
