El nuevo kayak está avanzando - finalmente decidí como hacer los tambuchos y como instalarlos. En tiempo inesperadamente lluvioso, tuve algo de tiempo y decidí
fabricar mi interpretación de una
bomba de achique..
20070918:
Un problema resuelto: NOAA parece cambiar la frecuencia del NOAA-18
regularmente, y mantenerse al díaa fue incomodo. Aquí hay una página que intenta de extraer la información de cada satélite y lo presenta
en una tabla sencilla.
20070904: A la página de la antena cuadrifilar, agregué un dibujo mas claro (espero) sobre como conectar el cable a la parte superior en la versión
con caños de cobre.
20070903: Agregué tres páginas nuevas al jornal de construcción del kayak. El casco y la cubierta están
cubiertas de fibra y es hora de pensar en los 'extras'
20070810: La anual caza del zorro 'globo'
en los Paises Bajos se organizará el 9 de September 2007.
Intentarán de transmitir cubertura en vivo por enlaces de video
y audio desde 9 a 13 horas UTC. John |

It's not because I don't have the time to put notices here, that
nothing is happening... quite the inverse!
The new kayak is advancing - I finally decided how to make the how to make the hatches and how to install them. In unexpectedly rainy weather, I had some time and decided to make my version of a kayak
bilge pump..

One of my problems solved: NOAA seems to change NOAA-18's frequency
regularly, and keeping up-to-date manually was uncomfortable. Here's a page that tries to extract the information from the status pages and
reports it in a simple page.
20070904:
I've added a (hopefully) clearer drawing on how to connect the coax to the copper tube version of the
QFH antenna.
20070903: Three new pages in the kayak construction journal. The hull has been glassed on the
outside, and now it's outfitting time.
20070810: The annual Balloon Fox Hunt in The Netherlands will be helt on the 9th of September 2007.
They will try to give live coverage via audio and
video web streams during the event form 9.00 - 13.00 h UTC. John |
