![]()       I was hanging with the guys at a place called "Jimmy's on the River". I had had a few to drink that night but made sure that I waited long enough to drive. It was pouring that night. I could barely see out the front of my windows. I dropped off my friend John who lives in Southern Indiana and started to head back to Louisville. I decided to take 65 South because my 98 Cobra had yet to have had the modifications needed to allow it to drive over a half a mile of river water.       I merged on to 65 and started heading south. I hit a puddle and thought "Dang It's really wet. I should slow down". I slowed down to about 60mph. Again I hit another puddle and my car got loose (I had balled DR's on the rear tires) and I slowed down to the speed limit (55mph). I continued south. I'm driving straight, all casual, and minding my own business and all of the sudden my car starts turning. I look at my hands to make sure that I am not turning them. I look up again and see that I am travelling about 55mph into a huge 4ft concrete wall. Good thing I had had some liquor that night to calm my nerves or I would have been like freaking out.       Needless to say I hit the wall. And for those who are already spasing out, writing me emails about drinking and driving, the police officers gave me a breathalizer and I blew .07 which is well below the limit for driving of .08. So chill out. The pics of the wreck are below. Rear Passenger Wheel Hood Shot Front Shot Driver Door Engine Wreck |
