2. Nature is able to destroy anything and everything. With the recent tsunami we saw that nature can level houses and buildings move can and kill people. Avalanches often rip tress out of the ground. In the famous sinking of the Titanic we saw how nature and sink �the unsinkable ship.� Nature�s power can and should never be underestimated.
3. When people say that they want to simplify there life style I think that they mean they want to take the complicated out. For instance, one might try and simplify there life by purchasing a dish washer so they no longer have to spend time of washing dishes manually, same thing goes with a washing machine. With the excess time one could spend it with family. With the speed of the world today, simplifying things should be practiced more often.
4. I could simplify my life by being more diligent with my time at my house while on lunch break and after football. I could get some homework done thus making more time for me at night. I could also manage my homework load much better by using my planner a lot more. I could do my weekend homework on Friday and Saturdays in order for me to relax on Sundays.
5. A materialistic society means that everyone in today�s world is focused on things of material or thing you can see or touch. Many people are so caught up in there image that they HAVE to look like some celebrity or have to have that car, jewelry, etc. Society as a whole is overly conscience about materials things and has lost sight of the values we once had.
6. If I could protest one issue it would be abortion. I feel that abortion is murder and since when is murder legal. Just because a baby cannot talk or is unable to take care of itself does not mean it is living. Some say it�s a fetus, to them I say, well is it alive? Is it breathing and eating? Then it is a human. No matter what age I call it a baby because if it is not a baby then you are not pregnant.
7. I feel that the government is involved in people�s lives too much in some cases and not enough in others. In today�s world our government has to protect itself from terrorism and other things. I feel that the government should however focus more on illegal immigrants than other issues we face. National Security should be ANY president�s TOP priority.
9. I do feel that all knowledge comes from the five senses. Without them I do not feel that any human could learn anything. No matter what the subject a seed has to be planted in ones brain in order for that person to �feel� something. Without the senses one would not be able originally grasp any knowledge. A person would only be able to function as a baby does, through what knowledge they are born with i.e. food, hunger, warmth, etc.
