| Of the pictures that I have seen by Vladimir Kush, my favorite would have to be Heavenly Hunting. The way that he has done the clouds to look like the bird and the man shooting at it is a great depiction of one attempt to reach heaven. The other artwork is very interesting. Kush obviously has a excellent imagination to create these images. One of the other pieces that I saw that I drew interest in was At the End of the Earth. This piece has many similarities with the Heavenly Hunting in the sense that they both have the ocean and the sky as a main part of the painting. Many of his paintings contain the ocean in them and the majority of the take place in the daytime. Most of them have some type of boat in the artwork. For the most part the artwork is uplifting. In the painting At the End of the Earth I think that the meaning behind it is that we are the boat and our breaking point or a difficult decision is the edge. We all have to face it at some point of time or another. In the artwork the waves are flowing towards the edge, I feel the waves symbolize the world trying to push us towards our breaking point or a difficult decision. The birds flying around below the water, to me represents the people who have fallen into temptation and are trying to pull us toward the edge so that we join them and become a bird just as they have. We must resist the temptation and do what is best for us. | ||||||||||
