1.- National Terminal, gates 1 to 5. This place is not very common because the majority of the airplanes are parked and with many thing around them. |

2.- Runway 05L, One of the most common places and that offers you the best results to take pictures. Is the famous Mc Donald's bridge. Here you'll have great view to take planes taxing to runways 05 and landing in runway 05L. The best time of the year to spot from here is from March to October and always in the afternoon, mainly after 2:00pm local time |

3.- & 4.- Lining up 05L and taxing to 05R. This is an excellent spot that will aloud you to catch every plane taxing to runway 05R as well as lining up in 05L. it is one of the most common places, and has diverse holes in the fence (made by spotters!!!). The principal thing to take care of when taking pictures is the light. Sun should be right in the airplane (right on your back). Also an important thing is time. Its always better to shoot with side sun, this means or early in the morning or late in the evening. The best time usually is from sunrise to 11:00am and form 2:30 till sunset.
Other important thing to take care about, (specially in this city) are contamination and haze. Although they don't interfere to much in the airplane, its always better to have nice and clear backgrounds.
Keep the lens still, this is, not to be moving while shooting. Another important thing is to have the background horizontal, whit your camera very strait and with the aircraft on the center and full frame. |

5.- Landings on 05R. One of the best places if what you want are approaching planes. Its near the subway station of "Hangares" the most recommendable spot is in the middle of the street. It is only suitable in the mornings but all year long. Be careful, you can find people searching for your stuff! And its usually cold. |

6.- National parking lot; A good point but certainly you need a good zoom lens. The landings on 05L are good from here but there is not many action. Though it's a great place just to go and watch! |

To upload pictures to Airliners.net is and has always been a goal for spotters, yet it is usually difficult to get shots uploaded.
The tips here are to only try with your best shots, shots that have all the characteristics explained above and of course to have a good scanner and a competitive software to edit them; edition is usually the toughest part. Its not that your photos are not good, its mostly that the edition is not the best, try many diferent settings and spend some time before you upload them. |

7.- International Parking lot. One of my favorite points here but it is very difficult to spot form here; police is though and there are many obstacles, shooting form here is like a 007 mission. Try to find a big car to hid behind it and watch out for corrupt authorities. |

I receive many mails asking about where do I take my pictures back by runways 23. Unfortunately this is a private sport and there is NOT public access. Anyways, it is NOT recommendable to go into that area, it is kind of dangerous, and thee are many stories that tell about thief's back there. |
