One day, whilst I was working volunteer at the Victory Community Centre, a young Japanese girl named Michiko walked in. She had seen an ad for our "Drop In" Center at another community center where she had been doing an English class and thought she'd drop in! It just so happened that that was the week when we were having a BBQ for our International Youth, and she hadn't been to an Aussie BBQ before! So I invited her along, and that was the start of a beautiful friendship!

We have shared many things besides cultural exchanges! She has been very interested in finding out about God because she had heard some things about Him in the college she had gone to back in Japan, and she read my testimony online, which started some questions coming. So, we started doing a Bible Study of the different attributes of God with her, which led to many interesting discussions about the Gospel!

After 7 months, she headed back to Japan briefly before heading off on a month-long back-packing trip around Europe. She is now back in Japan teaching English.
