Kingdom benefactors are always widow,
or children with a handful of fish,
or ravens with cheese for a sad man�s heart,
or strawfilled mangers outside desert towns.

the widow�s sacrifice sustains the prophet
the child�s smile fills the waiting crowds� hunger
blackbird�s obedience renews the spent
and the manger cradles eternity
