MERIT PLAN
At the meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2000, the Reading/Academic
Success
Program (Now a division) unanimously approved the Merit Plan Below:
Performance Review Ratings
Exceeds Expectations: The faculty member has demonstrated an
overall expected performance in the area(s) of activity specified in
the
individual's distribution of effort agreement and, in addition has made
a
significant contribution to the program, which is worthy of special
recognition by the college during the review period. NOTE: the
contribution
must be a program wide contribution or college wide contribution. Faculty member must request this rating in writing.
Meets Expectations: The faculty member has demonstrated an
overall expected performance in the areas of activity specified in the
individual's distribution of effort agreement.
Fails to Meet Expectations: The faculty member has
demonstrated an overall ineffective performance in the areas of
activity
specified in the individual's distribution of effort agreement.
Merit Rating Appeal:
1. The first-level of appeal will be a panel of all full-time faculty
in the Reading/Study Skills Program.
2. The second-level will be the academic dean.
Merit Dollar Distribution:
Exceeds Expectations - 1.5
Meets Expectations - 1.0
Fails to Meet Expectations - .0
