     "After thirteen desperate and thrilling rounds Ad Wolgast, the lightweight champion, was today returned a winner over Joe Rivers in the most complicated result that could be realized. A knockout with the full ten count administered in the explanation of Referee Jack Welsh, while various other opinions will be sent broadcast by many of the newspapers scribes at the ringside."
