“I was in the dressing room getting ready to go on, and the door opened and in came Wolgast. He walked over and looked at me. It was the first time I had seen him."      “Hello, kid,” says he “Are you Tommy Murphy that I’m going to fight tonight?”      “I was a little surprised at the rough way he said it but I said that my name was Tommy Murphy and I was going to do my best for him. He stuck out his hand to shake with me, squeezed it once and then threw it away as hard as he could and went out banging the door after him. Of course, I was on right away. I knew the old stuff he was giving me—trying to scare me before we got into the ring.”
