This picture appeared in The Detroit News before the Wolgast-Rivers fight of July 4, 1912. The picture is made up of three images of Wolgast's past fights. The one on the left is of Wolgast-Nelson, the center is Wolgast-Moran, and the one on the right is Wolgast-Burns.

A quote under the picture states:
"And nowhere in the pugilistic records is it chronicled that Ad Wolgast, of Cadillac, Mich., lightweight champion of the world, has been knocked out, while among his victories are such famous pugilists as Battling Nelson, Owen Moran, and Frankie Burns, but Joe Rivers, who will be Wolgast's opponent tomorrow afternoon at Vernon, Cal., has been rocked to sleep going down before Johnny Kilbane, featherweight champion of the world."
