“What is your definition of a ‘popular decision’?” the writer asked of Ad.
     “It seems to me it goes to the fellow who gets the most applause and that isn’t a square deal for the champion,” said Wolgast. “The biggest part of a crowd that attends a fight wants nothing better than to see the champion knocked out and such being the case, any little thing the other fellow does improves his chances of getting the popular decision. I know I certainly received more applause before I became champion than I have ever received since.”
