"Ad Wolgast accompanied with his new manager, Larney Lichtenstein, arrives in Denver to fight Joe "Whop" Flynn on April 28,1916. Wolgast beats Flynn in a sensational 15 round fight. It was a slugging, ripping, and tearing battle from the beginning. But by the 6th round, there was no shadow of a doubt who would win the fight. The superior Wolgast, fit, fine, and furious, was back making his last attempt to earn a fight with the Champion Freddie Welsh."
