"I came to Salt Lake with only one idea in mind, that of returning to the east a winner. On the other hand, I do not expect an easy time with Gilbert, and the fact that the fight has been cut down to ten rounds will make it harder for me - but I'll get him before the bell pounds for the tenth. The fans who witness the bout will see in action the man who will be the world's champion within a few months. I'm out to break the theory that a champ can never come back.
