"The report of Ad Wolgast’s supposed death set Cadillac in an uproar this evening. Telegraph and telephone offices have been besieged since 3 o’clock for the information about the Cadillac boy. Gloom or ecstasy followed the receipt of the various messages announcing his death, or that he was still living. Plans for Thanksgiving were given up until it was definitely known that Wolgast was out of danger."
