“I am not in quite as good condition possibly as I was for Nelson, but at that I expect to win from Memsic long before the Twentieth round is called. I think I have improved my knowledge of boxing since I met Nelson. I do not swing wildly with the left. I hook more and hit surer. When I say that I do not think my condition is as good as it was when I won the championship, I do not mean for an instant that I will not be able to put up a winning fight and protect the money my friends have wagered on me.”
