"Scene at the end of the Wolgast-Rivers prize fight on July 4th, 1912, when Referee Jack Welsh is said to have "lost his head." Thousands of fans were menacing him and River's friends contended the Mexican was not out. the moving pictures, however, prove Rivers was down twelve seconds."
