A comment from the Traverse City Evening Record June 1910:"Ad Wolgast has a peculiar way of providing winter spending money for his father. The Champion lightweight yesterday purchased a 40 acre tract of land adjacent to his father's present farm. Fifteen acres of the newly purchased farm is cleared, the rest being timber land. Ad is of the opinion that should his parents desire a little "pin money" during the chilly winter months all he has to do is to enter the timber tract with an axe and saw and cut stove wood," |
