"Since his defeat of Nelson, Cupid's messenger has been busy with Wolgast's name, and he has been claimed by a Michigan girl and also by Miss Eugenia Howey (sp) ,a southern California belle."
     Then we hear from a third woman named Miss Mollie Giett from Milwaukee writing a letter to the Milwaukee Journal Editor:
     "Milwaukee Journal Editor - On arrival in Milwaukee to meet my future husband, Adolpus Wolgast, whom I expect next week, was met by two announcements of his contemplated marriage with other girls. I wish to have it announced that it is not so. I expect to marry Ad on his return, I met Ad in Grand Rapids, Michigan." (signed) "Mollie Giett"
     "Miss Giett declares in a statement to the Milwaukee paper that unless the new champion makes good his promise she will take action against him."
