William Davis services Friday

  Funeral services for William Fred Davis, 66, Mammoth Spring, Ark., will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with the Rev. Charles Barnett officiating.
  Mr. Davis died 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Mammoth Spring.  He was born Oct. 12, 1934, at Many Islands, Ark., the son of William L. and Mabel Hurtt Davis.
  On June 7, 1953, he was married at Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Wanda Mae Davis.
  Mr. Davis was employed by Wal-Mart Stores for 17 years.
  Survivors include his wife, Wanda Davis, of te family home; three children, Freddie Thompson and husband, Tab, Rick Davis and wife Lisa, and Sheila Amundson and husband, Tim, all of Mammoth Spring;  his mother, Mabel Hurtt Davis, Mammoth Spring; two sisters, Margie Collins, Mammoth Spring, and Willa White, Rogers, Ark.; six grandchildren, Melanie Anderson and husband, Hans, Brandon Todd and wfie Capri, Samuel Noakes, Savannah Amundson, Josseph Amundson and Mariah Davis; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Dakota and Jacob Anderson, and Makayli Todd; one sister-in-law, Frances Davis, Mammoth Spring; and one brother-in-law, J.D. Collins, Mammoth Spring.
  He was preceded in death by his father; one son, William H. "Butch" Davis; two brothers, Howard and T.R. Davis; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Davis and Ida Collins; and one nephew, Jack Collins.
  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Mammoth Spring, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.

Willis Davis

Services for Willis Davis were held at the General
Baptist Church in Willow Springs, Tuesday, September 4,
1984, at 2:00 pm. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday,
September 1, 1984, at West Plains Memorial Hospital in
West Plains at the age of 79 years.
  Willie Davis was born in Douglas County May 15,
1905.  He was united in mariage to Zella Johnson.  He
was a farmer most of his life.
  Willis Davis is survived by his wife Mrs. Zella
Davis of the home; two sons, Claud Davis of Willow
Springs, and Freddie Davis of St. Charles, Missouri;
three daughters, Mrs. Tessie Martin of St. Charles, Mrs.
Helen Hanks, of Willow Springs, and Mrs. Betty Altis of
Cabool; three brothers, Theodore Davis, Russell Davis,
and Lou Davis all of Willow Springs; one sister, Mrs.
Lacie Collins of Willow Springs; 27 grandchildren and 35
great grandchildren.
  Services were officated by the Rev. LeRoy Lovan
under the direction of Hiler Funeral Home of Willow
Springs.  Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
