William Collins Services Friday

  Funeral services for William Amos Collins Sr., 65, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 1989, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
  Masonic rites will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Robertson-drago Funeral Home.
  Mr. Collins died at 7:20 a.m. Tuessday, Aug. 29, 1989, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.  He was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Howell County, the son of John Benton and Cora Mae Collins.
  He received his education in the Davis Creek School, and on Nov. 3, 1983, he was married at West Plains to Elizabeth Collins.  Until his retirement he had been employed since 1962 with the city of West Plains as electrical superintendent.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM, Barnes Lodge No. 116, Cabool, and was of the Methodist faith since young manhood with his membership in the Congregational Methodist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Collins, of the home; four children, Bill Collins, Wendell, Idaho, Kenneth Collins, West Plains, CAthy Collins, Farmington, and Jim Collins, West Plains; several stepsons and stepdaughters; several step grandchildren; five brothers, Edward Collins and George A. Collins, both of west Plains, Harold Gene Collins, CAlifornia, Boy A. Collins, Hereford, Texas, and Joe Neal Collins, Harrison, Ark.; two sisters, Magdalene Surritte, West Plains, and Virginia Radberry, Phenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  He is preceded in death by his parents, two wives and one brother who died in infancy.
  Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
