| Houston Herald Thurdsay Nov. 29, 1923 Death of Mr. Tip Moore Mr. Wayen Tip Moore was born in West Virginia november 14, 1859; died at his home near Clear Springs, Texas County, Mo., November 13, 1923, making his age at time of death 64 years, lacking one day. He was married to Nancy Emily Stephens March 9, 1884. To this union one son was born. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and son, one brother, one sister and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Moore was converted and joined the Methodist church about 32 years ago and has lived a devoted chirstian life until he was called to join the blood-wassed throng on high. He was a kind and loving husband and father and was always found faithul in trying to advance the church of Christ. He lived expecting to die and died expecting to live in a better world and bore his afflictions with patience, though he has been afflicted for some time. Why should our tears in sorrow flow, when God recalls His own, and bids them leave a world of woe for an immortal crown? Is not even death a gain to those whose life to God was given? Gladly to earth their eyes they close to open them in Heaven. Goodby, Brother Moore, till we meet where partings are no more. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Moore's Chapel by Rev. A. Hurley. A Friend. |
