  Virgil B. Collins, son of the late Anthony and Cora Moore Collins, was born at Willow Springs, Missouri, April 6, 1917.  Entered into rest April 6, 1972 at the age of fifty-five years.
  On December 18, 1946 Mr. Collins was married to Lena Keller, who survives him as does a daughter Jean Ann Wilder of St. Charles, Missouri.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, three brothers and a sister who are Oscar Collins, Creve Couer, Missouri, Henderson Collins, Branson, Missouri, Mrs. Lucy Thornton, West Plains, Missouri, and Roy Collins of Willow Springs, Missouri.
  Preceding Mr. Collins in death are his parents and a sister Grace.
  Mr. Collins was a veteran of World War Two having served with the 75th Divison, 899th Field Artillary Bn. Bat. D during that conflict.

Virgil B. Collins Funeral Held

   Funeral services for Virgil B. Collins, St. Charles, Mo., and a former resident of West Plains, were held yesterday at 2p.m. in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Lester Bradford officiating.
   Mr. Collins died Thursday, April 6 in St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Mo.
   Pallbearers were:  Neal Thornton, Adolph Thornton, William Thornton, Winford Collins, Gerald Collins and Lonnie Collins.
   Person attending from out of the area included Mrs. Lena Collins, St. Charles, Mo.; Mrs. Jean Ann Wilder and family, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walker, Wade, Gerald, and Lonnie Collins, Lola Collins, Adolph Thronton, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Hammock, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pullock, all of St. Charles, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Collins, Hollister, Mo.; William Thornton and family, Neal Thornton and family, Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Al Cape, Granite City, Il.  Joe Kinsella and Bill Kinsella, Alton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Collins and Joyce Collins, Creve Coeur, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. William Collins and John Lovelace, St. Louis, Mo.
   Interment was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
