Virgie M. Collins Services Held
Funeral services for Virgie May Collins, 83, West Plains, were held Sunday at 2:30 pm in the Carter Chapel, West Plains, with Evangelists Neale Phipps and Laverne Stewart officiating.
Mrs. Collins died Friday at 8:40 am in Baxter General Hospital in Mtn. Home, Ark. She was born Sept. 28, 1893, in Sharp County, Ark., the daughter of the late J. B. and Leona Van Zant Horton.
She was married in November, 1912, at Sharp County, Ark., to Joseph Aaron Collins who preceded her in death in September of 1938. She was a member of the South Curry Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Chester Collins and Carson Collins, both of West Plains; two daughters, Mrs. Madrene Bohm, Beloit, Kan.; Mrs. Bernice Trout, Hastings, Neb.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband, three brothers and two children preceded her in death.
Honorary pallbearers were Ed Willard, Joe Price, Virgil Ingold, Burdette Cape, Harlin Crawford and Ishmael Cope.
Active pallbearers were: Joe Tom Collins, Norman Collins, James Bohm, William C. Collins, Michael Bohm and Melvin Phillips.

Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Carter Funeral Home of West Plains.
