Vesta Pentecost services held

Funeral services for Vesta Pentecost, 89, Richland, and formerly of this area, were 2 p.m. Dec. 21, 1999, at Grace Baptist Church in Richland, with Charles Pentecost officiating under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Pentecost died Dec. 18, 1999, at Tri-County Nursing Home in Richland.   She was born May 27, 1910, in Ozark County, the daughter of John and Mary Elizabeth Fox Karr.

In August 1931, she was married to Eli B. Pentecost.

Many years ago she professed her faith in Chirst and united with Gasconade Baptist Church in rural Dixon.

She enjoyed fishing, handiwork of any kind, and she was an excellent cook and seamstress, but her greatest pleasure came from being with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Pentecost and wife, Dorothy, Crocker, and Carl Pentecost and wife, Vicki, Lebanon: 15 grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; three-great-great-grandchildren: and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Jimmie Eli and Francis Evelyn Pentecost Neslon; and eight brothers and sisters.

Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery.
