| West Plains Daily Quill Monday February 17, 2003 Veon Bunch services Tuesday Funeral services for Yvonne "Veon" Bunch, 62, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with Pastor Rob Whittingham officiating. Mr. Bunch died 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at his home. He was born March 1, 1940, at Twin Bridges, the son of Everett and Gladys Ethel Ecton Bunch. On July 17, 1960, he was married at West Plains to Joan Mefford. For 26 years he was employed at Invensys Appliance Controls of West Plains and was a long-time farmer. Mr. Bunch was a hard worker, loved to wok on his farm, was very close to the people he worked with, and loved to hunt and fish. He was of the Baptist faith with his membership in Spring Creek Church. Survivors include his wife Joan Bunch, of the family home; two grandchildren Steve Hensley, South Welmington, Ill.; three stepgrandchildren, Nick Lumley, Ben Lumley and Becky Lumley, all of the state of Oklahoma; on great-grandson, Dallas Hensley; two step great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law Cathy Copper, Mounds, Okl.; one son-in-law, Greg Hensley, Gardner, Ill.; one brother, Leon Bunch and wife, Judy, Willow Springs; three sisters, Trilbia Wood and husband, Roy, Eldon, Joyce Hibner and husband, Dan Central Point, Ore., and Janice Kennedy and husband, Bernie, Lawrence, Kan.; Three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bunch, Willow Springs, Genevieve Bunch, North Bend, Ore., and Evelyn Bunch, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; on son, Joseph Bunch; and four brothers, Ocie Bunch, Glen Bunch, Roy Bunch and an infant twin brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Inman Cemetery or Riverways Hospice and left at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 2 p.m. today until service time. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Inman Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. |
