Ted McKinney, 92, son of Jack McKinney and Ollie Herndon, was born Feb. 8, 1908, at Solo. He died Oct. 24, 2000, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Mr. McKinney was a farmer and resident of the Tyrone community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bertha; one son, Kenneth; six brothers, Lester, Lloyd "Doc"; Ray, Roy, Harold and Robert; one sister, Ruth; and one grandchild.
Surviving are nine children, Dorothy Henry of Glen Carbon, Ill., Jewell McKinney of St. Ann, Herman Keith McKinney of Jennings, Walter McKinney of Houston, Wilma Douglas of Cumberland, Iowa, Jackie McKinney of O'Fallon, Gladys Garrett of Success, Betty Goodman of Springfield and Carol Terrill of Mountain View; one sister, Faye Ice of Houston; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 27 at the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
