West Plains, MO. Journal, Jan. 19, 1899

Died, at her home near Pottersville, Jan. 3, 1899, Mrs. Ruhaney Tabor who was born near Indianapolis,  Ind. Oct. 27, 1821, came to Missouri and was married in 1842 to Andrew V. Tabor who with his Father Eli Lewis Tabor, moved from McMinn Co., Tenn. In 1840 and settled near the creek which now bears his name.  On what is now known as �Blossom Farm near� Siloam Springs. They had ten children, 4 sons, and 6 daughters, 9 of whom grew up and married and settled in the present limits of Howell County. In 1890 the death of  the father Andrew occurred at the home near Pottersville, to which they moved in 1852. A year later, a son Henry died, the remaining 8 - Thomas, John, James, Medames Carrico, Brown,  and Dent of Pottersville. Mrs. D.J. Estes of Siloam Springs, Mrs. H. A. Dorsey, West Plains are all living in the county. At the time of her death, she had lived in Howell County longer then any other person.
