"Chick" Collins funeral Tuesday

  Funeral services for Roy "Chick" Everett Collins, 68, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
  Mr. Collins died at 4 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.  He was born Sept. 8, 1917, in West Plains, the son of the late W.A. "Bill" and Nancy Melinda Collins.
  He was married July 28, 1970, at Las Vegas, Nev., to Georgia Truman, who preceded him in death Feb. 3, 1984.  He was a retired S Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.  Mr. Collins was a member of the Lindsborg, Kan., Masonic Lodge AF & AM.
  Survivors include four step daughters, two stepsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, Florence Collins, Phoebe Ross, Alice Nokes and an infant sister, and threee brothers, Benton Collins, Otto Collins and Emmett Collins.
  Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery
