| Seaton Independent, June 2, 1938 GRADUATES. Robert D. Rowley Receives Degree at Iowa Teachers' College. Robert D. Rowley, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Rowley of near Seaton, who graduated from Monmouth high school in 1934, was a member of the class graduating from Iowa State Teachers' college at Cedar Falls, Ia., last Monday. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in instrumental music and he was elected to Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonio, a national honorary music fraternity. He is also a member of Phi Tau Theta and he was a member of the symphony orchestra and the college concert band. He has been prominent in other collge activities and gave his senior clarinet recital May 10. For next year Mr. Rowley has accepted a position as instrumental music supervisor in the high school at New Providence, Ia., and will have under his supervision an 80-piece band. |
