Mrs Rebecca Alexa Johnson Died Last Night
Mrs Rebecca Alexa Johnson of 132 College St, died last night in Christa Hogan Hospital where she had been a patient since last Sunday.
Mrs Johnson was the wife of A B Johnson and a daughter of the late Joseph and Linda Cook of this county. She was born in Howell County September 30, 66 years ago and has spent her entire life in and near West Plains with the exception of a short time spent at Granville, Mo.
On January 14, 19-- Mrs Johnson was married to A B Johnson, who survives her as do seven sons and daughters, Chester, of Grandview, Mo, Harold of Dexter, Ore, Eldon of Ashland, Ore, Stanley of Oak Ridge, Ore, Ruth Ellison and Sybel Morgan of West Plains and Helen Sullivan of Oregan. Two sons and two daughters preceded their mother in death. There are 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mrs Johnson has been in frail health for the past several months and bedfast for the past 60 days. She recently underwent treatment at Ellis Fischel Hospital in Columbia.
Mrs Johnson had been a member of the Baptist Church since early womanhood, having membership in the ------- Baptist Church for the last 8 years.
