Thompson Services Sunday Funeral services for Rachel Ada Thompson, 79, West Plains, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Carter Chapel, West Plains. Mrs. Thompson died yesterday at 11:30 a.m. in West Vue Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 10, 1895, in Dora, Mo., the daughter of the late B.C. and Louise Upton Collins. She was married at Dora, Mo., to Roy Oscar Gunter who preceded her in death Aug. 9, 1938. She was married at Gainesville, Mo, to Elmer Thompson who preceded her in death in April, 1963. Mrs. Thompson was of the Pentecostal Faith. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, one sister, Viola Wheat, two brothers, Danny and Tommy Collins and infant daughter, Minnie Viola, an infant son Marvin Lee, on granddaughter and one grandson. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lue Ellen Qualls, West Plains; Mrs. Iva Jane Harris, West Plains; Mrs. Alpha Geretta Foley, Aransas Pass, Texas; four sons, William Lloyd Gunter, Richland, Wash.; Jessie Doyle Gunter, Richland, Wash.; Dallas Edward Gunter, Kansas City, Kan.; Cecil Wesley Gunter, Aransas Pass, Texas; five brothers, Ephraim Collins, Doniphan, Mo.; Walter Collins, Dora, Mo.; A.J. Collins, West Plains; Theodore Collins, Tulsa, Okla.; General Collins, Wetumtka, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Owens, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Alpha Trail, Wetumtka, Okla.; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow evening at the Carter Chapel, West Plains. Burial will be in Parsons Cemetery under direction of the Carter Funeral Home, West |
