| Jim Halbert Pyatt, 75, son of the late Charles Pyatt, Jr. and Hattie Riley Pyatt, was born Dec. 24, 1917, at Hartshorn. He died Jan. 7, 1993, at the Houston House in Houston. He was united in marriage to Violet Shelton. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge in Houston and spent his whole life in the Hartshorn area, where he was a farmer until his health failed. He was admitted to the Houston House in May of 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Jim; and one sister, June Henry. Surviving are one son, Tom David Pyatt of Salem; one daughter, Fern Bowen of St. James; one brother, Warren " Bert" Pyatt of Summersville; one sister, Cleo Alfre of Guatemala City, Guatemala; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Albert Steelman officiating. Burial was in the Riley Cemetery under direction of the Bradford Funeral Home. June Pyatt Henry was born June 10, 1929 near Summersville. After all was done that human hands could do, she peacefully passed away in the Polk County Hospital, in Mena, Arkansas, on May 7, 1964, making her age at the time of death 34 years, 10 months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to John R. Henry from Illinois on June 10, 1951. She and her husband moved to Picayune, Mississippi, where they had lived until about a year ago when they moved to a farm near Cove, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by an infant son born October 7, 1934. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, John R. Henry, of Cove, Arkansas, her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pyatt, 2 older brothers, Jim and Warren Pyatt of Summersville, and 1 younger sister, Mrs. Cleo Afre of Guatemala City in Central America, 3 nephews and 6 nieces, several uncles, aunts and cousins and many other relatives and friends. She had manifested a devout hope in Christ in the Baptist Churcb in Cove, Arkansas. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her. Summersville Beacon, 29 May 1964, page 2. Warren Bert Pyatt, 71, son of Charles Jr. and hattie Pyatt, was born Sept. 7, 1912 at Hartshorn. He died July 6, 1995, at his home at Summersville. He married Peggy Lou House Pyatt, who preceded him in death. Mr. Pyatt lived in the Summersville area and was a retired construction worker and farmer. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Houston. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Sue Pyatt; a brother, Jim Halbert Pyatt; and a sister, June Henry. Surviving are his daughters, Mary Ann Bishop of Lamar, Sharon Kay Pyatt and Peggy Lou Pyatt of Summersville and June Lynn Pyatt of Ash Grove; a sister, Cleo Afre of Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America; and six grandchildren. Graveside services were July 8 at the Riley Cemetery near Hartshorn with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. |
