Phoebe Ellen Ross, daughter of the late William Alsup and Nancy Malinda Collins, was born March 24, 1901, at West Plains, Missouri.
Entered into eternal rest January 22, 1981, at the age of seventy-nine years.
She received her education in the West Plains School System, and on December 24, 1919, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Charles Sylvester Ross, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 27, 1978.
Mrs Ross is survived by five children, Mrs Gene (Shirley) Mask, West Plains, Missouri, Wayne Ross, West Plains, Missouri, Charles S Ross Jr, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Basil E Ross, Winfield, Kansas, Earl Ross, West Plains, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Emmett R Collins, Avery, Texas, Roy E Collins, Gilbert, Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, three brothers, and three sisters.
Mrs Ross had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Plains, Missouri for the past eleven years. She was Past Noble Grand in 1975 at the Mizpah Rebekah Lodge No. 77, and was presently serving as Noble Grand. She has served as Past Oracle of the Royal Neighbors of America.
