| Houston Herald Nov. 9, 1995 Section A pg 3 Oral Aldridge Oral Joseph Aldridge, 69, son of Joe and Lestell Chambers Aldridge, was born April 22, 1926, at Tyrone. He died Nov. 5, 1995, at Willow Care Nursing Home at Willow Springs. He married Audrey Nichols April 5, 1952. They had seven children and lived in the Tyrone area. Mr. Aldridge joined the Marine Corps in May of 1952 and became a three-star honor Marine in the Korean War. After his discharge from the military in 1954, he worked in the timber and was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Bernice; and one grandson. Surviving are his wife, Audrey of the home at Tyrone; three sons, Danny and Dee of Elk Creek and Wayne of Piedmont; four daughters, Rosemary Mooney of Eminence, Jannie McAllister of Piedmont, Patty Aldridge of Elk Creek and Annette Hartman of Houston; three sisters, Maxine Newberry of Rolla, Vernetta Swartz of Springfield and Marie Grogan of Yukon; ghree brothers Dean and Delmar Aldridge of Elk Creek and Bob Aldridge of Springfield; and eight grandchildren. Services were Nov. 7 at theEvans Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery. |
