     Ruth Collins services held

   Funeral services for Ruth Collins, 73, Cabool, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Chapel in Mtn. Grove, with Revs. J.D. Williams and Don Hamby officiating.
   Mrs. Collins died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was born April 21, 1928, at Vanzant, the daughter of MacCampbell and Martha Emma Smith Morris.
   Mrs. Collins grew up in Vanzant area in Douglas County and attended Willow Springs No. 2 School.
   On March 15, 1947, she was married at Hardy, Ark., to Chalmer Collins, who preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1990.
   She dedicated her life to Chirst shortly after her marriage.  She maintained a strong belief in God throughout her life and passed this belief on to her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Willow Springs No. 2 Freewill Baptist Church, and after moving to Cabool she enjoyed attending First Freewill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
   She enjoyed cooking, sweing and doing outdoor activities.  her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
   Survivors include one son, Ronnie Collins, Cabool; two daughters, Carolyn Hamby and husband Don, Willow Springs, and Debbie Roberson, Cabool; two brothers, Omer Morris, Springfield, and Robert Morris, West Plains; two sisters, Florence Turnbull, West Plains, and Ruby Wake, Willow Springs; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Shaun, Zachary, Justin, Jennifer, Cassie, Jonathan and Carissa; and many other relatives and friends.
   Burial was in Pleasan Home Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt-Bradly Funeral Home.
