Funeral services Monday for Octie Collins
Funeral services for Octie Margaret Collins, 89, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, 1997, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with the Rev. Fred Hamby officiating.
Mrs. Collins died at 6:03 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at National Health Care Center, West Plains. She was born Sept. 4, 1907, at Roosevelt, the daughter of John U. and Annis Collins.
In 1927, she married Benford Collins.
Survivors include three children, Fay Turnbull, Emmet, Idaho, J. W. Collins and wife, Linda, and Earl Collins, all of Dora; one brother, Bryan Collins, Caldwell, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Pearl Collins, Betty Collins and Burnice Freeman; three sisters; one brother; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be at Thronton Cemetery in Howell County under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, I
