Nellie Williams Services Saturday
Funeral services for Nellie Jane Williams, 71, of West Plains will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the Church of Christ at Moody with the Rev Ira Johnson officiating.
Mrs Williams died at 6:30 pm, Monday, at her home. She was born September 19, 1907, in the state of Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Joe and Minnie Collins Davis.
She came to this county in early childhood with her parents. On May 12, 1924 she was married at Sturkie, Ark to Newt Williams, who preceded her in death Dec 22, 1976. She had been a member of the Moody Baptist Church since early girlhood.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Pauline Brandt, Denver, Colorado; Mrs Hesta Johnson, Ellsinore; Mrs Blaine (Beulah Mae) Brower, Rolla; one granddaughter; Mrs Judy Buxton, Ellsinore; two great grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters, Mrs Opal Keith, Moody; Mrs Mabel Clay and Mrs Irene Yeager, Lawrence, Kan; Mrs Lorene Taylor, Fillmore, Calif; Glen Davis and Gene Davis, Fresno, California.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Friday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Moody Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
