Minnie A. Collins, daughter of the late Jim and Martha Evans Worel, was born in Oregon County, Missouri on March 11, 1891. She departed this life at Fulton County Hospital on September 27, 1980 at the age of 89 years 6 months and 16 days.
She was united in marriage to Thomas A. Collins in Oregon County on October 9, 1910 and to this union ten children were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing five sons, Elijah of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Commodore of Indio, California, Thomas A. of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Doyle of Oakwood, Illinois and Wylie of Arvin, California; three daughters, Mrs. Pleasant Hall of Dale, Oklahoma, Mrs. Beulah Rhoads of Springfield, Missouri and Mrs. Audrey Swope of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one brother, Robert Worel of Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Gladden of Thayer, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of her married life in the Pleasant Grove community.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, 1980 at 2 pm at the Agnos Church of Christ with the Reverend Ben Meeks officiating. Interment was in the Agnos Cemetery under the direction of the Leland Carter Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
