Janie Ellison funeral tomorrow
Funeral services for Janie Ellison, 86, West Plains, will be held tomorrow at 2 pm in the Carter Chapel, West Plains, with Elder Ira Johnson officiating.
Mrs Ellison died yesterday at 1:35 am in West Plains Memorial Hospital. She was born March 28, 1889, in Howell County, Mo, the daughter of Ezekiel Collins and Ardena Johnson Collins.
She was married in 1922 at Howell Co, Mo, to Jesse Collins, who preceded in death in October of 1924. She was married to George Ellison at West Plains in 1933 who died in 1960. Mrs Ellison was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Iva E Cromer, West Plains; Mrs Cazo Pittman, Pomona, Mo; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, one sister, and four brothers.
Burial will be in Collins Cemetery, one mile West of Grimmett, under direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
