Mary Lawson services Friday

  Funeral services for Mary A. Lawson, 53, Mammoth Spring, Ark., wil be 2 p.m. Friday Nov. 1, 2002, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with the Rev. Wayne Hurst officiating.
  Mrs. Lawson died 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct, 29, 2002, at her home.  She was born Aug. 27, 1949, at Mammoth Spring, the daugher of Adrian and Ora Porter Downs.
  One June 24, 1985 she was married at Miami, Okla., to Bill Lawson.
  Mrs. Lawson was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by Ozarks Medical Ceneter in West Plains.
  She was of the Pentecostal faith.
  Survivors include her husband, Bill Lawson, of the family home; one son Chad Howell, Mammoth Spring; three stepchildren, Debbie Fox, West Plains, Dwight Lawson, Springfield, and William Lawson, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Dustin and Dalton Howell; three stepgrandchildren, Ashley Mero, and Desiree and Derek Fox; five sisters, Glenda Hall, Rita Harleroad and Wonda Downs, all of Mammoth Spring, Delieta Bookout, Thayer, and Christine Merriman, Floyd, Ark.; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brother, Lavern and Larry Downs.
  Burial will be in Steven Collins Cemetery, Wirth, Ark., under direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
