Graveside services Saturday for Mae Collins
Graveside services for Mae Lovan Smith Collins, 82, West Plains, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Timothy A. Ford officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. of West Plains.
Mrs. Collins died 5:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains. She was born July 20, 1918, at Hebron, the daughter of Jefferson A. and Blanch Height Lovan.
She was married Aug. 19, 1933, to Recie L. Smith of Hardy, Ark. He died Sept. 3, 1967. She was married June 22, 1974, to Andrew "Andy" J. Collins of West Plains. He died July 20, 1978.
She was a member of the friendship Baptist Church, West Plains, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one dauther, D. Louise Lewis and husband, James Williams Lewis, West Plains; three grandchildren, Lareciea Lewis Ford and husband, Timothy Alan Ford, of Liberty, James Weslie Lewis and wife, Cynthia Nordstrand Lewis, of Del Rio, Texas, and mark Edward Lewis of Denver, Colo.; four great-grandchildren, Skyler Thimothy Ford and Mariah Larae Ford, both of Liberty, and Katrina "Katie" Nicole Lewis and Courtney Danielle Lewis, both of Del Rio; and one sister, Lois Lovan McDowell of West Plains.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her grandfathers, Dr. John W. Lovan and wife, Alice Hatcher Lovan, and John Wesley Height and wife, Martha Hancock Height.
