Lucille Pendergrass Services Wednesday

  Funeral services for Lucille Pendarvis Collins Pendergrass, 98, Thayer, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Thayer, with Evangelist Mike Stone officiatting.
  Mrs. Pendergrass died Saturday, Dec 22, 2001, at Shady Oaks Healt Care, Thayer.  She was born July 9, 1903, in Fulton County, Ark., the daughter of Joshua Allen and Elizabeth Lester Pendarvis.
  On March 24, 1920, she was married at Afton, Ark., to Lewis R. Collins, who preceded her in death 1957.  In 1961, she was married to Lehman Pendergrass, who also preceded her in death.
  Mrs. Pendergrass was a homemaker.
  She was a Gold Star Mother due to the death of her son, Robert during World War II.  She was a member of VFW Auxillary Post 7831 and the Welcome Hill Church of Christ.
  Survivors include two sons Floyd Collins and wife, Janice, and Virgil Collins and wife, Johanna, all of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two daughters Sylvia Collins and Goldie McCradic; one son Robert L. Collins; five sisters, Mamie Gregory, Servilla Collins,  Leora Collins, Bertha Murphy and Bessie Eaton; three brothers, W.A. Pendarvis, Joshua Pendarvis, and Samuel Pendarvis; one grandson, Jim McCradic; and one great-grandson, Jessie McCradic.
  Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Burial will be Flint Cemetery, Fulton County, Ark.
