Lonzo Thompson, son of the late Calvin and Annie Johnson Thompson, was born March 19, 1914 at West Plains, Missouri. Entered into eternal rest June 9, 1981 at the age of sixty-seven years.
He received his education in the schools of West Plains, Missouri and on August 17, 1946 he was married at West Plains, Missouri to Genevieve Agnes Kelly.
Mr Thompson is survived by his wife, Genevieve Thompson, West Plains, Missouri; eleven daughters, Mrs Donald (Edith) Cox, Willow Springs, Missouri, Mrs Jerry (Betty) King, Esther Thompson, Josephine Thompson, Janice Lou Thompson, Judy K Thompson, Violet Thompson, Louise Thompson, and Marie Thompson, all of West Plains, Missouri, Mary Ann Kandler, Macie, Idahl, Mrs Phillip (Wilma) King, Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Lonnie K Thompson, West Plains, Missouri, Terry Ace Thompson, West Plains, Missouri; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Vonnie Thompson, Macie, Idaho, Lawrence Thompson, Tarkio, Missouri; three sisters, Mrs Willie (Dorothy)Driskell, Tarkio, Missouri, Mrs John (Lueviney) Poe, Tarkio, Missouri, Mrs Lugene Collins, Stanwood, Iowa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He had been a Christian since young manhood, his membership being in the Calvary Pentecostal Church of West Plains, Missouri. he had served as pastor of the South Walker Street Free Will Pentecostal Tabernacle for the past seven years.
