Lola Collins services held

    Funeral services for Lola Helen Collins, 91, St. Charles, and formerly of Willow Springs, were 11 a.m. today, Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Willow Chapel in Willow Springs.
    Mrs. Collins died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at St. Joseph�s Hospital, St. Charles. She was born Dec. 22, 1910, at Willow Springs, the daughter of John Benjamin and Priscilla McCullough Hallett.
On Jan. 23, 1932, he was married at West Plains to Elmer Raymond Collins, and to this union three sons were born.
    Mrs. Collins taught school at Star School and Oak Grove for eight years. She was later employed by McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis for more than 22 years.
    She was a  member of Highland View Baptist Church in St. Charles, and was very active in volunteer work.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald Collins and wife, Roberta, Wade Collins and wife, Patsy, and Lonnie Collins, all of the St. Charles area; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died July 11, 1969; one brother, Homer C. Hallett; three sisters, Lillian Fugate, Dorothy Pottle and Edith Hansen; and a daughter-in-law, Marge Collins.
    Burial was in Carroll Cemetery under the direction of Willow Funeral Home of Willow Springs.
