SERVICES FOR LESTER SHIKE HELD TODAY.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Methodist church in Keithsburg for Lester Shike, 57, who died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, in the Monmouth hospital, where he was taken Sunday evening, ill with bronchial asthma.
Rev. Geogre McCune officiated at the services.  Interment was in Greenmount cemetery at Keithsburg.

Mr. Shike was born on a farm near Seaton June 5, 1895, a son of Henry and Capitola Ditto Shike and attended the Seaton school.  He moved to Keithsburg with his parents in 1919 and had been janitor of the Keithsburg schools for the past 25 years.

He is survived by two brothers, George Shike of Monmouth and Harold of Keithsburg; five nephews and four nieces.  His parents and a brother Charles Shike preceded him in death.
