| Laura Ottinger Died at Home Here Saturday Laura Ottinger, 87, died at her home here Saturday, March 13. A long-time resident of Willow Springs, Mrs. Ottinger came here from Tennessee with her parents when a young girl. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Gentry officiating. Interment was made in the Nease cemtery under the direction of the Burns Funeral Home. Laura Ottinger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Luttrell, was born in Greenville, Tenn. on November 17, 1866 and passed from this life at her home on Grand St. March 13, 1954 at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage at the age of 18 years to Calvin Ottinger who preceded her in death. To this union five children were born, one daughter, Ethel white, preceded her in death. Mrs. Ottinger was converted at an early age and was a member of the Baptist Church. She was a kind, loving wife and mother and always ready to help some one in need, was a good neighbor and a friend to all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by all. She leaves to mourn her departure four children, Horace Ottinger, Mrs. Berta Brown and Mrs. Alma Shriver of Willow Springs and Mrs. Etta Collins of Van Nuys, Calif. Two sisters, Mrs. Lina Dean of Tulsa, Okla. and MRs. Minnie Mitchell of Kansas City. Nine Grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Attending funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Dean of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Minnie Mitchell of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Luttrell, Mrs. Emma Bortle and Mrs. Helen Grisham of Springfield, Mo., and MR. and Mrs. Don White and two children of Elgin, Oregon. |
