Funeral services for Larkin "Leon" Collins Thrusday

  Funeral services for Larkin "Leon" Collins, 58, Pomona, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, at Hiler Funeral Home Chapel, Willow Springs, with the Rev. Willie Roberts officiating.
  Mr. Collins died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, at his home.  He was born July 15, 1938, at Hebron, the son of Larkin McKinley and Ida Blanche Roper Collins.
  On Sept. 4, 1965, at Salem, Mo., he married Patricia A. Colbert.
  He was introduced to Christ earlier in life, being a member of the Big Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  He held on to the strength of the Lord through the years.  He was a hard working man, and worked the logging woods until his final months.  He was a loving, loyal and understanding father and grandfather throughout his life.
  Survivors include his mother, Ida B. Collins, West Plains; his wife, Patricia, of the family home; three daughters, Anna J. Beltz and husband, Wayne, and Leona G. Spence and husband, Mickey, all of Willow Springs, and Marlena S. Shannon and husband, John, Peace Valley; two sons, Kevin L. Collins and wife, Garnette, Pomona, and Lyle Collins, of the family home; two sisters, Leota White and Naomi Bunch, both of West Plains; five brothrs, Alonzo Collins, and Doyle Collins and wife, Christine, all of Pomona, Ival Collins and wife, Mary, and Paul Collins and wife, Wilma, all of Caulfield, and Roger Collins and wife, Harrietta, Bakersfield; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, David and Russell Beltz, and Joshua and Michael Spence, all of Willow Springs, Kimberly and Derreck Shannon, Peace Valley, Charles, Keagan and Marabeth Collins, all of Pomona; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
  He was preceded in death by his father.
  Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hiler Funeral Home.

Patricia Collins services Tueday

  Funeral services for Patricia Ann Collins, 58, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in West Plains.
  Mrs. Collins died 7 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001, at Mt. Vernon Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Vernon.  She was born June 26, 1942, at Hutton Valley, the daughter of the Rev. Robert Franklin Colbert and Jemima Dodson Colbert.
  On Sept. 4, 1965, she was married at Salem, Ark., to Larkin Leon Collins.
  Mrs. Collins was a homemaker.  She was a member of Lost Camp Baptist Chruch.
  Survivors include her mother, Jemima Colbert, West Plains; five children, Anna Jannine Beltz and husband Wayne, Willow Springs, Leona Gaye Kerns and husband, Kyle, Gassville, Ark., Marlena Sue Upton and huband, Bill, and Lyle Haskal Collins and wife Patricia, all of West Plains; and Kevin Lee Collins, Pomona; four sisters, Bobbie Jean Havens, West Plains, Alice Mae Perk, Utica, N.Y. Geneva Jo Flood, Willow Springs, and Carol Louise Stroud, Kansas City, Kan.; one brother William Truett Colbert, Caulfield; and 18 grandchildren, Jennifer, David and Russell Beltz, Joshua and Michael Spence, Kaliegh Keller Kerns, Kimberly and Derreck Shannon, Chant and Christopher and Correy Upton, Charles, Keagan and Marabeth Collins, Nathan Graves, and Nicholas and Noah Collins.
  She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; one sister, Claudette Smith; and two brothers, Robert Hall Colbert and Dwight David Colbert.
  Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of West Plains.
